my Country Languages Too !
Help AI speak our own languages
Hundreds of millions of people speak Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Akan, Ewe, Wolof, Fula, Swahili, Amharic and other African languages, yet translation apps and voice assistants barely know them. Lend your voice for a few minutes and help build open datasets, with English & French, that teach computers to understand and translate our languages.
Three ways to help
- Speak: read a short sentence and say it in your language, the way you'd say it to a friend.
- Listen: play other people's recordings and vote: does the recording match the sentence?
- Write: suggest everyday sentences, from the market to the family table, for others to record.
Every accent is welcome: a language sounds different from one town to the next, and that variety is exactly what the models need to learn. Validated recordings join our datasets, which train speech recognition and translation tools for African languages.
Languages: Akan (Twi, Fante), Amharic, Arabic, Ewe, Fula (Fulfulde, Pulaar), Hausa, Igbo, Kinyarwanda / Kirundi, Lingala, Malagasy, Nigerian Pidgin, Oromo, Shona, Somali, Swahili, Tigrinya, Wolof, Xhosa, Yoruba and Zulu.
Aider l’IA à parler nos propres langues
Des centaines de millions de personnes parlent le haoussa, le yoruba, l’igbo, l’akan, l’Ewe, le wolof, le peul, le swahili, l’amharique et d’autres langues africaines, et pourtant les applications de traduction et les assistants vocaux les connaissent à peine. Prêtez votre voix quelques minutes pour construire des jeux de données ouverts, avec l’anglais et le français : enregistrez des phrases, écoutez et validez les enregistrements des autres, proposez de nouvelles phrases.
